Open a Book

I wanted to share some things I have been loving lately! I was laying in bed with a headache the other night and I asked myself, what would bring you joy right now. I immediately thought, open a book. (A real live book I might add, not one of those screen kinds.) I have really sensitive eyes, and double vision, and depth perception issues–so too much screen time (work time) basically makes my head and brain hurt. I have resolved that I need to be reading more live books between now and the first of the year.

So here is what is on my To Read List:

Remember God by Annie F. Downs

Unafraid: Trusting God in an Unsafe World by Susie Davis

| Side note | Both of these amazing women have amazing podcasts that you should check out. If you have an iPhone there is this magical purple button on your home screen called “podcasts” with a huge amount of wonderful FREE goodness waiting for you to explore.

Grumpy Mom Takes A Holiday by Valerie Woerner

(If that title alone doesn’t want to make you read this book I don’t know what will!) Val has this way of speaking to women and moms about prayer, finding joy, and giving simple action steps for life that I just love! She also has some awesome prayer journals that you can buy here.

I hope that you find some joy and peace in this season from reading some new books, listening to a new podcast, or just spending some intentional time in prayer.
